A reputable company in Bahrain is looking to hire a locally available Junior Accountant to support its financial operations. This role focuses on maintaining accurate accounting records and assisting with various financial processes to ensure smooth and compliant accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for handling daily accounting tasks, including making accurate journal entries and managing invoices, payments, and receipts. The role includes overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, performing bank and account reconciliations, and supporting monthly and annual financial closings. The candidate will also prepare financial reports and maintain all necessary documentation. Additional duties include managing petty cash, tracking expenses, assisting with VAT and tax filings, coordinating with auditors, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and have between two to five years of related accounting experience. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications along with experience in accounting software such as Tally. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision is important for success in this role.
