Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Accountant to join our finance team in Bahrain. This role plays a crucial part in supporting everyday financial operations, including bookkeeping, account reconciliations, payment processing, and assisting with monthly financial closures. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency with accounting software, and a commitment to accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Accountant will handle various finance-related duties such as maintaining accurate ledgers, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting payroll processing. Tasks also include preparing financial statements, assisting with budget management, and ensuring all bookkeeping complies with tax and accounting standards. Administrative responsibilities like managing petty cash and maintaining financial records are also part of the daily routine.

  • Maintain and update general ledgers, sales, purchase, and journals.
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
  • Process invoices, payment transactions, and follow up on receivables.
  • Assist in month-end closing, preparation of financial reports, and budget tracking.
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations.
  • Oversee petty cash, filing, and respond to finance-related inquiries.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or Tally, alongside advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical ability to identify and resolve discrepancies within financial documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for liaising within the team and with external parties.
  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial data entry and report preparation.

Work Schedule and Benefits

This full-time position requires working 11 to 12 hours daily with a weekly half-day off. The offered salary is BHD 200.000. Additionally, the company provides visa sponsorship, accommodation, and transportation to support your relocation and daily commute, ensuring a comfortable working environment.
