Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Accountant to join our team in Bahrain. This role involves managing daily financial activities, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and supporting clients with comprehensive accounting services. The ideal candidate will have strong reconciliation skills, experience with payroll, and the ability to prepare various financial reports and analyses.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare payment vouchers and manage cheque printing processes.
• Archive client documents systematically to the shared drive.
• Coordinate with clients’ administrative offices regarding daily transactions and payment requests.
• Reconcile daily client receipts including cheques, credit card payments, and cash against sales records.
• Conduct daily bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow monitoring.
• Generate daily cash position reports to track liquidity.
• Review and verify client transactions daily, identifying and correcting discrepancies.
• Maintain and update the fixed assets register accurately.
• Design and implement internal control procedures to strengthen financial operations.
• Perform reconciliation of creditors and debtors accounts regularly.
• Prepare schedules for prepayments and other related financial entries.
• Conduct stock reconciliation and verify any negative stock balances.
• Assist in preparing feasibility studies and business plans for clients.
• Manage monthly payroll processing, including monitoring employee leave and indemnity calculations.
• Handle payroll final settlements and annual leave calculations.
• Prepare profitability reports to support business decision-making.
• Reconcile the general ledger to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Monitor client loans and prepare detailed loan calculation schedules.
• Compile various financial reports as requested by the company.
• Prepare financial statements and conduct financial analyses for client accounts.
• Liaise with external auditors during client audits and prepare necessary pre-audit documentation.
• Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting, preferably within client service or auditing environments.
• Strong knowledge of financial reconciliation and general ledger processes.
• Experience in payroll processing and managing employee records.
• Ability to prepare detailed financial reports and analyses.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in document archiving and transaction verification.
• Good communication skills for effective coordination with clients and auditors.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
