Job Overview
Simply Chic Boutique is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our expanding team in Bahrain. This role involves managing daily financial transactions, preparing reports, ensuring VAT compliance, and maintaining accurate financial records to support our business operations.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for handling all accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and various reconciliations. Responsibilities also include preparing provisions with detailed breakdowns, managing cash flow and budget forecasts, reviewing monthly payroll, and submitting balance sheets along with profit and loss statements to management on a monthly basis.
Additional duties involve computing VAT returns and ensuring full VAT compliance, maintaining fixed asset records including depreciation and disposal, resolving financial discrepancies, conducting audits, and analyzing profit and loss statements to assist in financial decision-making.
Required Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate should bring 5 to 7 years of accounting experience within the GCC region and be fluent in English. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in accounting and finance management software such as ODOO or any ERP system, along with strong skills in MS Excel, is essential.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills are necessary to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong communication abilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving will help successfully perform this role.
