We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Bahrain. This role involves preparing comprehensive audit reports, analyzing financial data, and advising management on improving operational and financial processes. Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing detailed reports on audit findings, including discrepancies and recommendations for improvement.
- Monitoring asset utilization and audit outcomes, proposing operational and financial changes accordingly.
- Collecting and analyzing data to identify inefficiencies, duplicated efforts, fraud, or non-compliance with policies and regulations.
- Inspecting accounting systems and records to evaluate their effectiveness and compliance with accepted procedures.
- Supervising audit activities across various departments and determining the scope of investigations required.
- Collaborating with company officials on financial and regulatory matters to ensure transparency and compliance.
- Evaluating financial information systems and recommending controls to maintain data integrity and system reliability.
- Verifying cash balances, notes receivable/payable, securities, and checks against accounting records for accuracy.
- Reviewing and reconciling accounts to resolve discrepancies.
- Establishing and assigning accounts within the financial reporting system.
- Examining inventory records to verify their accuracy in journals and ledgers.
- Analyzing business trends, costs, revenues, commitments, and obligations to forecast financial performance and guide management decisions.
- Developing and maintaining computerized accounting systems and record-keeping procedures.
- Assessing tax liabilities by evaluating taxpayer finances using knowledge of financial instruments and amortization techniques.
- Auditing payroll and personnel records to ensure compliance with tax regulations and insurance requirements.
