Job Overview

We are an expanding restaurant chain seeking a meticulous Accounts Payable Accountant with proven experience in the Food & Beverage sector. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions within our finance team.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying and processing supplier invoices, ensuring payments are made promptly and accurately. Regular reconciliation of supplier statements and resolving any inconsistencies will be essential. You will maintain detailed records of all accounts payable activities and collaborate closely with purchasing and store departments regarding invoice and delivery confirmations.

Additional duties include preparing payment schedules, assisting with bank transfers and cheque handling, monitoring expenses to enforce company policies, supporting month-end closing activities, and maintaining necessary documentation for audit purposes.

Required Skills and Experience

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. A minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience managing accounts payable within the Food & Beverage or restaurant industry is highly preferred. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively across departments are necessary for this position.
