Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-focused Accountant to oversee daily accounting operations and contribute to accurate financial and management reporting. Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Bookkeeping

• Maintain comprehensive books of accounts, including the general ledger and account reconciliations
• Manage invoicing, collections, payments, accounts receivable and payable processes
• Monitor cash flow and produce monthly financial statements such as profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Organize financial records to facilitate managerial review and audit processes

VAT Compliance and Reporting (Bahrain)

• Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with Bahrain’s National Bureau for Revenue regulations
• Maintain thorough VAT documentation, including input/output reconciliations and audit trails
• Assist external auditors and regulatory bodies during inspections

Managerial and Cost Accounting

• Perform managerial accounting tasks tailored to operational businesses
• Develop cost analyses covering materials, labor, and overhead expenses
• Support manufacturing and assembly cost evaluations, particularly in automotive or motorcycle production settings
• Calculate and monitor local value addition in line with the 35% local content rule, including labor, services, utilities, rent, overhead, and sourcing distinctions
• Work closely with management on pricing strategies, break-even assessments, and margin tracking

Systems and Reporting

• Utilize accounting software such as Zoho, Tally, Odoo, or similar platforms
• Create and maintain Excel models for cost sheets, value-added calculations, and monthly performance monitoring
• Support accounting needs for multiple companies or projects if required

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2 to 4 years of practical accounting experience, preferably within Bahrain
• Strong knowledge of Bahrain VAT regulations, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to analyze and understand the financial aspects of operational and manufacturing businesses

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within manufacturing or assembly plant accounting
• Familiarity with local value-added calculations and the 35% rule
• Proven ability to manage accounting across multiple companies or projects
• Availability to join immediately or on short notice
