Job Overview

Woodlem British School in Ajman is seeking an experienced English Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis, covering maternity leave. This position offers a strong possibility of transitioning into a permanent role for the academic year 2026-2027. The school follows the British National Curriculum, and the successful candidate will support students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4.

Key Responsibilities

The English Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the British National Curriculum. Duties include preparing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a supportive learning environment to help students develop their language skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field
• Recognized teaching qualification such as B.Ed or PGCE
• Proven experience teaching the British National Curriculum, specifically KS3 and KS4
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
