A leading Interior Design and Landscaping firm based in Abu Dhabi is seeking a talented Freelance Product and Furniture Designer. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute creatively to a diverse range of projects from furniture and lighting to wall art and consoles. The ideal candidate will blend technical expertise with a keen design sensibility to produce exceptional, production-ready designs.
Key Responsibilities
The chosen candidate will be responsible for developing innovative product and furniture designs that align with contemporary, high-end aesthetics. Responsibilities include creating detailed 3D CAD models, producing shop drawings, and preparing bills of materials (BoM). Coordination with workshops and involvement in prototyping processes will also be essential to ensure design feasibility and quality execution.
Required Skills and Experience
- 2 to 5 years of professional experience in product or furniture design.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD and AutoCAD software.
- Experience using Rhino, 3ds Max, or SolidWorks for detailed design work.
- Familiarity with rendering tools such as KeyShot, V-Ray, or Corona.
- Understanding of various materials and fabrication techniques, including joinery and finishing.
- Hands-on experience with materials like micro-cement, GFRC, timber, brass, glass, and natural stone.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity in contemporary, organic, and minimalist design styles.
Project Scope
The projects include designing furniture pieces, lighting fixtures, mirrors, consoles, and wall art, emphasizing sophisticated and minimalist aesthetics.
Work Arrangement
This position is offered as a freelance, project-based opportunity with the flexibility to work remotely within the UAE.
