Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Power BI Specialist to lead the development and deployment of business intelligence solutions. This role focuses on creating advanced dashboards and reports using Power BI, primarily on cloud platforms, and requires a deep understanding of data modeling, ETL, and large-scale BI architectures.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage end-to-end BI projects, including the implementation of Power BI dashboards and reports. Core duties include designing data models, writing complex DAX and M queries, and integrating multiple data sources for seamless analytics delivery. Managing SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) tabular cubes and working with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) are essential tasks. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable BI solutions and optimizing performance will also be expected.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Over 5 years of practical experience in Power BI dashboard and report development, especially with Power BI Cloud services.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server tools including SSAS tabular cube development, SSIS, and SSRS.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for building views, tables, functions, and stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, tabular modeling, and multidimensional modeling using MDX.
• Comfortable working with DAX and M query languages to craft complex calculations and transformations.
• Development or coding skills in C#, Web API, .Net framework, Powershell, and familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases such as MariaDB, MongoDB, and Cosmos DB.
• Ability to build and optimize cubes for handling large datasets efficiently.
• Experience with development tools like Visual Studio.

Preferred Qualifications

A solid background in cloud-based business intelligence solutions and a proven track record of delivering BI projects within enterprise environments will be advantageous. Candidates with additional skills in system integration and automation through scripting or API development are preferred.
