Job Overview
We are urgently seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This role involves managing payroll processes accurately to ensure employees are compensated timely and in accordance with local regulations. The position is open to candidates currently residing within the UAE, regardless of nationality.
Key Responsibilities
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for processing and maintaining payroll records efficiently. Daily tasks include collecting and verifying timesheets, calculating work hours and benefits, and preparing payroll through specialized software. Ensuring compliance with tax regulations, distributing payment statements, and responding to employee inquiries about compensation are also key duties.
- Collect daily, weekly, and monthly employee timesheets accurately.
- Calculate employee work hours, benefits, and deductions diligently.
- Process payroll using reliable software such as QuickBooks, JDE, and ERP systems.
- Ensure tax and labor law compliance with company and government policies.
- Schedule electronic payments and distribute paychecks timely.
- Prepare detailed payroll reports for management and record-keeping.
- Handle employee questions related to compensation, taxes, benefits, and deductions.
- Update company databases with new employee payroll information.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in human resources or payroll-specific roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
- Proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems including QuickBooks, JDE, and ERP software.
- Familiarity with UAE labor laws and tax regulations.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to effectively address employee concerns.
