Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled QA/QC Engineer with expertise in joinery and interior fit-out to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This role involves overseeing quality assurance and quality control processes throughout all stages of production and installation to ensure that project standards and client expectations are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting joinery and interior fit-out works, verifying compliance with approved shop drawings, material specifications, and project requirements. This includes regular checks on furniture, wardrobes, doors, cabinets, wall claddings, wooden panels, and other joinery components.

Additional duties include monitoring material quality, dimensions, finishes, laminates, veneers, paintwork, and hardware installations. The QA/QC Engineer will prepare and maintain Inspection Requests (IRs), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and other quality documentation. Collaboration with production teams, site staff, consultants, and project managers is essential to address and resolve any quality issues effectively.

The role also involves conducting final inspections to ensure all works meet the specified standards and client requirements, as well as identifying defects and implementing corrective actions to uphold high quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Interior Design, or a related discipline. A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in QA/QC within the joinery, woodworking, or interior fit-out sector is necessary.

A strong understanding of joinery manufacturing processes, materials, finishes, and installation methods is essential. Familiarity with UAE project specifications and consultant inspection procedures will be highly valued. Effective communication skills, attention to documentation detail, and the ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical specifications complete the profile.

Work Location and Compensation

The role is based in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
