Job Overview

Techno Wave General Contracting is seeking a skilled MEP Manager to lead and oversee all MEP-related construction activities in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering along with significant hands-on MEP management experience, particularly within the UAE market. This role involves managing installation, testing, commissioning, and the successful handover of MEP packages.

Key Responsibilities

The MEP Manager will be responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution. This includes reviewing MEP drawings and technical submissions, resolving conflicts with civil and architectural disciplines, and overseeing site progress to meet scheduled timelines. Managing procurement plans, budgets, and variation orders also form a crucial part of the role. Ensuring compliance with Abu Dhabi authorities’ regulations and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle is essential.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Drainage, Firefighting, and Fire Alarm systems.
• Ability to analyze and review detailed MEP drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficient in site management practices, subcontractor supervision, scheduling, and reporting.
• Experienced in preparing and evaluating BOQs, cost estimates, and procurement strategies.
• Understanding of Abu Dhabi’s authority requirements including inspections and approval protocols.
• Familiarity with quality control measures, site safety standards, commissioning processes, and as-built documentation.
• Strong command of AutoCAD, Excel, and project scheduling software; knowledge in Revit/BIM is advantageous.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills to effectively manage teams and projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 8 years of proven MEP construction experience.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience within the UAE.
• At least 2 years leading MEP teams or managing subcontractors.
