Job Overview
YAS Projects is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join their dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. This role is crucial in managing contract lifecycle activities for high-value construction projects across the UAE. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both Arabic and English and have a deep understanding of contract law, especially within the UAE construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
The Contracts Administrator will oversee the entire contract management process for multiple construction projects. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure all parties meet their obligations. The role also involves managing contract variations, claims, and any dispute resolution matters in a timely and effective manner.
Collaborating closely with project teams, procurement, and finance departments, the administrator will provide commercial advice to mitigate risks and optimize costs. Maintaining accurate contract documentation and performance monitoring is also a significant aspect of this position.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in contract management within the UAE construction industry.
- Hands-on experience with buildings, high-rise structures, and civil infrastructure projects.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English, written and spoken.
- Comprehensive knowledge of FIDIC contracts as well as UAE construction laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with contract management and ERP systems, alongside solid skills in MS Office and documentation processes.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical capabilities.
Professional certifications such as MRICS, MCIOB, PMP, or FIDIC Certified Professional are advantageous.
