Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in Cards Issuing and Acquiring to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of IT experience with at least 5 years focused in the banking IT sector. This role demands a strong understanding of card payment systems, personal banking product behavior, and end-to-end project delivery within the payments industry.

Key Responsibilities

The Card Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of multiple projects related to card issuing and acquiring solutions, managing scope, timelines, and budgets effectively. Responsibilities include leading design, development, and testing teams, coordinating cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones. The role also requires handling project phases such as initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure, often managing up to three projects simultaneously.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 10 years total IT experience including 5+ years in banking IT.
• Proven expertise in card authorization, payment settlement processes, and merchant acquiring systems.
• Successful completion of at least two full end-to-end cards issuing and acquiring project implementations.
• Strong techno-functional knowledge with the ability to engage technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Hands-on experience managing project scope, time, and budget.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project (MPP) for effective project tracking.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working within retail banking product environments and personal banking domains will be highly advantageous. Candidates who can demonstrate leadership in multi-disciplinary project teams and have a record of delivering complex banking technology projects will be preferred.
