Jazal Holding is seeking a meticulous Payables Accountant to join its finance team based in Abu Dhabi. This full-time role plays a crucial part in maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of accounts payable processes, ensuring statutory compliance and smooth supplier transactions.

Key Responsibilities

The Payables Accountant will be responsible for verifying and posting supplier invoices and credit notes, accurately matching them against purchase orders, contracts, and receiving documentation. The role also includes preparing supplier payments, reconciling account statements, and maintaining the accounts payable ledger with close monitoring of aging reports. Additionally, handling employee expense reports, petty cash processing, and supporting month-end and year-end financial closings and audits form key parts of this position. Compliance with VAT, tax regulations, and internal controls is critical, alongside addressing supplier and payment queries promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
• At least 3 to 4 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting roles.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP accounting systems.
• In-depth understanding of UAE VAT regulations and local tax laws.
• Excellent numerical accuracy, analytical thinking, and reconciliation capabilities.
• Highly organized, trustworthy, and collaborative with strong communication skills.
