Job Overview

Red Planet Foodstuff Manufacturing LLC is seeking a skilled Chief Accountant to join their finance team based in KEZAD, Abu Dhabi. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in accounting within the manufacturing or food production sectors who can bring expertise in financial management and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

The Chief Accountant will lead the accounting functions, overseeing general, cost, and inventory accounting processes. Responsibilities include preparing accurate financial statements, implementing budgeting and forecasting procedures, managing cash flow, and conducting variance analysis. The role also covers month-end closing, account reconciliations, and supporting external audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards and local tax regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is mandatory.
• Professional certifications such as VACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing or FMCG industries.
• Deep understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), UAE VAT, and Corporate Tax regulations.
• Proficiency in ERP accounting systems, with experience in ERP implementations considered an advantage.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Strong capabilities in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and variance analysis.
