Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Control Manager to join a leading civil and construction project team based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role requires a professional with strong expertise in project cost control, financial analysis, and schedule management, supporting the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will have the ability to oversee project financial data, coordinate cost and schedule baselines, and contribute to overall project performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

The Project Control Manager will play a pivotal role in managing project cost data and schedules. Responsibilities include:

• Utilizing company cornerstone systems to handle and present cost data accurately for project control.
• Interpreting financial terms and measures, and evaluating their impacts on project outcomes.
• Assisting with financial data analysis to identify and resolve key project issues.
• Guiding junior team members through task assignments and monitoring their progress.
• Tracking and following up on project action items to ensure timely completion.
• Applying technical drawings and specifications to develop and maintain project baseline data.
• Preparing updated cost forecasts and monitoring progress trends and cost impacts.
• Engaging with earned value management to assess project performance.
• Evaluating labor requirements against budget constraints and preparing variance analyses.
• Reviewing purchase orders, subcontract commitments, and managing expenditure tracking to align funding with work authorization.
• Monitoring scope control, change management, and maintaining detailed change order statuses.
• Conducting cost/schedule integration, critical path analysis, and rescheduling activities as needed.
• Preparing regular project reports and participating in cost review meetings.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of project control procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this position, candidates must possess:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial documentation relating to project management.
• Hands-on experience with earned value monitoring and financial forecasting.
• Proficiency in cost control systems and software relevant to construction projects.
• Ability to analyze manpower, labor hours, and costs in relation to budgetary limits.
• Familiarity with project baseline creation using drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience in scope control, change management processes, and subcontract tracking.
• Excellent communication skills to lead meetings and collaborate with project teams.
• Demonstrated capability in reviewing and approving contractor invoices and managing expenditure forecasts.
