Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Draftsman with experience in the steel industry to join our team in Jeddah. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing precise technical drawings, layouts, and fabrication details related to steel plant equipment, mechanical systems, and structural components. This role requires effective collaboration with mechanical, civil, and production departments to ensure all drawings meet engineering and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for steel plant machinery, equipment, and structural elements.
• Develop General Arrangement (GA), fabrication, and assembly drawings for mechanical systems including conveyors, cranes, scrap handling equipment, furnaces, ducting, and structural steelwork.
• Update and revise existing drawings to reflect engineering modifications and site-specific requirements.
• Work closely with mechanical engineers, maintenance teams, and project managers to verify drawing accuracy and practical feasibility.
• Maintain organized drawing archives with proper revision control and documentation in compliance with company guidelines.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to engineering standards, safety protocols, and fabrication specifications.
• Support the preparation of Bills of Materials (BOM) and other technical documents as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD software for both 2D and 3D drafting.
• Strong understanding of steel plant machinery, structural components, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to interpret and produce detailed mechanical and structural drawings.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, accurate documentation.
