Job Overview

We are urgently seeking a qualified HSE Officer to join a leading oil and gas company in Qatar. This long-term position requires an experienced professional dedicated to ensuring workplace safety and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health, safety, and environmental management within the oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities

The HSE Officer will be responsible for implementing and enforcing health and safety policies, conducting thorough site inspections, and overseeing risk assessments. You will manage Permit to Work systems, facilitate Job Safety Analyses (JSA/JHA), lead Toolbox Talks, and maintain meticulous incident reporting. Driving HSE awareness programs and performing safety audits will also be crucial to this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least 8 years of HSE experience in the oil and gas industry
• Comprehensive knowledge of HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Proficient in conducting risk assessments and hazard identification
• Familiarity with OSHA, ISO 45001 standards, and oil and gas safety regulations
• Experience managing Permit to Work (PTW) procedures and safety documentation
• Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable
• Strong communication and reporting skills to effectively convey safety information
• Hands-on experience with site inspections, audits, and safety program implementation

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates currently residing in Qatar will be given preference due to the urgent nature of this hiring. Proven experience working on oil and gas projects or sites is mandatory to ensure operational readiness and compliance with industry best practices.
