Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled HSE Engineer / Lead to support our company’s implementation of the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management system. This role is critical in planning, executing, evaluating, and analyzing HSE activities on site to ensure that safety targets and objectives are consistently met within the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and enforcing HSE policies and procedures that align with regulatory standards and industry best practices. Routine audits and safety inspections will be conducted to monitor compliance and highlight improvement opportunities. Training initiatives will be delivered to elevate employee awareness of HSE protocols.

The role will also include conducting thorough investigations of accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective measures. You will prepare and approve Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and Hazardous Identification Procedures (HIP), design comprehensive HSE activities, and recommend resource allocations to top management.

Supervision of site HSE officers and guidance to supervisory staff on accident prevention and safe work practices are key aspects of this position. Daily hazard identification, observation report issuance, and enforcement of corrective actions will ensure a safe workplace environment. Additionally, the role involves developing data-driven dashboards to monitor safety indicators and reporting on HSE performance to support continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety regulations, with experience interfacing with clients such as SABIC, SATROP, MADEEN, SEC, and ARAMCO.
  • 5 to 8 years of professional experience in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, or Energy sectors.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as lead and build effective HSE teams.
  • Holding a valid Saudi driving license is advantageous.
  • Mandatory certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or a similar recognized safety qualification.
  • Candidates holding a transferable Iqama will be preferred.

Compensation

The salary for this role ranges between SAR 3000 to SAR 4000 and will be discussed based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
