Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to join our team in Kuwait. This role focuses on maintaining high safety standards across construction, MEP, and industrial projects by conducting thorough site inspections, managing hazard controls, and promoting safe working environments.

Key Responsibilities

The Safety Officer will be responsible for inspecting site and workshop activities, identifying hazards, and ensuring corrective actions are followed up effectively. The role includes delivering safety inductions and toolbox talks, verifying the correct use of personal protective equipment, and monitoring adherence to safe work procedures such as permits, lifting operations, work at heights, electrical isolation, and housekeeping.

The successful candidate will also intervene in unsafe work practices, promptly report any incidents, and maintain comprehensive records of inspections, training, and emergency drills.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A relevant diploma or degree in occupational safety or a related field.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate or an equivalent qualification in occupational safety.
• Proven practical experience in site inspections, risk assessments, permit monitoring, and incident reporting.
• Strong communication skills in English for clear reporting and workforce engagement.
• First-aid and fire-response training is highly preferred.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of hands-on experience as a Safety Officer managing daily site inspections, delivering toolbox talks, and ensuring follow-up on corrective actions. Experience in workshop or chemical handling environments is an advantage.
