Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Sales Engineer with a solid background in the steel fabrication industry to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position combines technical expertise with business development, serving as a vital link between project execution and sales growth. The ideal candidate will identify new market opportunities, assess technical project details, prepare accurate cost estimates, and successfully close deals with contractors, consultants, and developers within the structural steel and heavy fabrication sectors.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sales Engineer, your main duties will include:

• Driving business growth by targeting new clients and projects in structural steel, piping, and heavy fabrication industries.
• Reviewing client drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to develop precise cost estimates and competitive bids.
• Providing expert technical guidance and support to clients, addressing engineering questions, suggesting value-engineering solutions, and resolving any technical concerns.
• Leading negotiations on contract terms, pricing, and delivery timelines to secure profitable agreements.
• Coordinating closely with clients and the internal production team to ensure project requirements, quality standards, and deadlines are consistently met.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven outdoor sales experience, ideally [X] years, within steel fabrication, pre-engineered buildings (PEB), or heavy structural machinery.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, structural layouts, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ); knowledge of AutoCAD or Tekla is highly advantageous.
• Well-connected within the local construction and industrial sectors, with a solid understanding of contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication abilities.
• Possession of a valid local driver’s license to facilitate client visits.
