Job Overview

We are seeking 50 qualified Safety Officers to join a reputable oil and gas project based in Mesaieed, Qatar. This is a contract position for one year, with a strong possibility of extension. Candidates should be prepared to work ten-hour shifts, six days per week, supporting health, safety, and environmental compliance within a dynamic industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining stringent health and safety protocols on-site. Duties include conducting risk assessments, managing permit-to-work systems, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, and promoting a safe working environment throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills and Experience

• NEBOSH IGC Level 1, 2, and 3 certification is mandatory.
• At least 10 years of overall experience in health, safety, and environment (HSE) roles, with a minimum of 5 years specifically within the oil and gas industry.
• A minimum of 3 years of HSE work experience in Qatar is essential.
• Additional 2 years of relevant HSE experience can be from any GCC country.
• Strong knowledge of HSE procedures, risk assessments, permit-to-work (PTW) systems, and safety regulations.
• Capability to work in shift patterns, including weekends and demanding site-based environments.
• Must be flexible to join according to project timelines.
