We are seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to join a reputable civil contracting company based in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil construction along with comprehensive knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance to ensure a safe working environment on all project sites.

Key Responsibilities

The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring safety protocols across construction operations. Duties include conducting regular site inspections, identifying potential hazards, enforcing safety regulations, and promoting a culture of safety awareness among all staff and contractors. The role also involves preparing safety reports and liaising with regulatory bodies to ensure all activities meet legal requirements.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience working in safety roles within the civil contracting sector
• Strong understanding of safety procedures, legislation, and best practices relevant to construction sites
• Ability to conduct site risk assessments and implement corrective measures efficiently
• Excellent communication skills to effectively train and guide the workforce on safety compliance
• Proactive approach towards identifying safety improvements and resolving issues promptly
