Job Overview
We are seeking qualified Safety Officers to join a leading company in Qatar’s oil and gas sector. This is a contract position with a duration of one year, which may be extended based on project needs. Successful candidates will work onsite, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing HSE protocols, conducting risk assessments, and managing permit-to-work systems. Daily duties include monitoring site safety, enforcing regulations, and coordinating with project teams to maintain a secure workplace.
Required Skills and Experience
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (Level 1, 2, and 3) is mandatory
- At least 6 years of overall experience as a Safety Officer within the oil and gas sector
- Minimum of 3 years of safety experience in Qatar’s oil and gas industry
- Strong knowledge of HSE procedures, risk assessments, permit-to-work processes, and safety regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and in site-based environments
- Must be ready to join as per project requirements
Work Schedule
The role requires working 10 hours per day, six days a week, following site schedules and project demands.
