Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced HSE Engineer to join our team, specializing in preparing comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental plans for construction projects based in Riyadh. This role requires proactive management of HSE documentation, compliance enforcement, and collaboration with project teams to uphold high safety standards in line with Saudi regulations.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating project-specific HSE plans tailored to meet client requirements and regulatory standards. Duties include conducting thorough risk assessments, reviewing method statements, developing safety procedures, and ensuring all HSE documentation is up to date and compliant.

Additional responsibilities involve responding to client non-conformance reports (NCRs), resolving punch list safety items, carrying out regular site inspections, and maintaining detailed documentation to support audits and client reporting. Coordination with project teams to ensure adherence to safety protocols and preparing incident reports with corrective actions when necessary are also essential parts of this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related safety discipline
• Minimum of five years’ practical HSE experience in the Saudi Arabian construction sector, with total career experience up to eight years
• In-depth knowledge of construction-related HSE standards and Saudi regulations
• Proficiency in drafting detailed HSE plans and handling compliance documentation
• Strong understanding of managing client NCRs and closing out safety-related punch items
• NEBOSH certification or an equivalent health and safety qualification is preferred
• Excellent reporting, documentation, and communication skills

Work Environment and Location

This position is primarily based in Riyadh, with duties performed on various project sites. The role demands close interaction with on-site teams to ensure safety plans are effectively implemented and that all health and safety policies are fully adhered to across the project lifecycle.
