Job Overview

We are urgently seeking a qualified HSE (Safety) Officer to join a construction project based in Ras Abu Funtas, Qatar. This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in health, safety, and environmental compliance within the construction industry, particularly in the GCC region.

Key Responsibilities

The HSE Officer will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by implementing and monitoring health and safety procedures on site. You will conduct regular inspections, identify potential hazards, enforce safety regulations, and coordinate training sessions to promote safety awareness among all personnel. Compliance with company policies and local regulations is critical to uphold the highest safety standards throughout the project.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an HSE or Safety Officer specifically in construction projects.
• Proven knowledge of GCC construction safety standards and regulations.
• NEBOSH certification is mandatory, confirming your expertise in occupational health and safety.
• Strong ability to identify risks and implement effective control measures.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with project teams and contractors.

Work Conditions

This role requires a candidate holding a freelance visa valid for Qatar. You will be based at the construction site in Ras Abu Funtas. The position offers a competitive monthly salary of 4500 QAR as a full package.
