Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our Fit-Out and Construction team based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role requires detailed financial management across projects, ensuring accuracy in transactions, reports, and compliance with local accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will handle daily accounting tasks such as managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing comprehensive financial statements, and maintaining accurate general ledger records. Monitoring project budgets and costs specific to Fit-Out and Construction initiatives will be a major part of the role. Additional responsibilities include processing invoices and subcontractor payments, conducting bank reconciliations, and overseeing cash flow.

The Accountant will also prepare timely financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis while ensuring adherence to VAT regulations and Saudi financial compliance requirements. Coordination with various departments including Procurement, HR, and Project teams to support financial documentation and audit processes is essential. Support with payroll processing and End of Service Benefits will also be expected, alongside maintaining fixed asset registers and preparing cost analysis reports for management review.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, particularly in Fit-Out or Construction sectors.
• Strong understanding of project accounting and cost management principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems.
• Thorough knowledge of VAT rules and financial compliance within Saudi Arabia.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Transferable Iqama is preferred.
• Immediate availability will be an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or similar.
• Understanding of subcontractor billing and project cost allocation methods.
• Certifications like SOCPA, CMA, ACCA, or CPA are a plus.
