Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical QAQC Engineer with a solid background in welding and mechanical quality assurance to join a long-term project located in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Super Duplex, SS316L, and SS piping systems, particularly within desalination or water treatment plants. This role requires expertise in ASME standards, CSWIP certification, ASNT, and NDT testing methods.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will oversee quality control and quality assurance activities related to mechanical components and welding processes throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include evaluating welding inspections, conducting NDT tests, ensuring compliance with international standards, and coordinating factory acceptance tests (FAT) as required by the company. The role demands hands-on involvement to guarantee that all mechanical work meets project specifications and quality benchmarks.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical QAQC roles
- Proven expertise in welding inspections involving Super Duplex, SS316L, and stainless steel piping
- Experience working in desalination or water treatment plant projects
- Familiarity with ASME codes, CSWIP, ASNT standards, and non-destructive testing (NDT) procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work within strict quality control processes
Additional Information
The position offers immediate joining with relocation support for qualified candidates. This is a long-term engagement providing steady work on a major industrial project. Factory acceptance testing (FAT) will be coordinated as part of the quality assurance process.
