Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and certified Safety Officer to join our team for construction projects in the Jubail region. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in safety management within industrial and construction environments, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry. This role requires strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards to maintain a safe workplace and ensure compliance with all regulations.

Key Responsibilities

The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and enforcing HSE policies and procedures across the site. Daily safety inspections, comprehensive risk assessments, and auditing safety practices will be core duties. Additionally, the role involves conducting toolbox talks and safety training sessions to keep the workforce informed and vigilant. Investigating incidents and ensuring that corrective actions are taken to prevent recurrence is also essential. Monitoring the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and preparing detailed HSE reports and documentation will round out the responsibilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer, with 3 to 5 years dedicated to construction or industrial projects.
• Prior experience working in the Oil & Gas sector is highly preferred.
• Experience working in GCC countries will be considered an advantage.
• Mandatory certifications include NEBOSH, OSHA, and IOSH.
• In-depth understanding of HSE regulations, risk assessment procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to prepare accurate reports.
