Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced HSSE Officer with a strong background in substation civil works to join a renewable energy project based in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. This position requires a professional with at least 5 years of relevant safety experience to oversee health, safety, security, and environmental compliance throughout the project’s 10-month duration.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with industry standards on site. You will coordinate with project teams to manage risk assessments, inspections, and safety audits specifically focused on substation civil engineering activities. Maintaining a safe work environment and fostering safety awareness among all personnel will be essential parts of your role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Safety Officer in substation projects, emphasizing civil engineering aspects.
• Valid certifications including OSHA and NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC).
• Diploma in Safety Engineering or a related field.
• Proven ability to enforce safety standards and conduct effective safety trainings.

The employer will provide a Fitness After Training (FAT) certification, along with coverage for your Absher Iqama, health insurance, and passport handling. Salary payments will be processed within 45 days of employment. This is a fixed-term engagement aligned with the 10-month project timeline.
