Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer and Trainer to join a well-established Training Institute based in Bahrain. This role combines practical HSE management with training responsibilities, ensuring workplace safety standards are met and that staff receive effective safety education. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in implementing safety policies along with excellent communication skills to lead training sessions.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring HSE policies in compliance with Bahrain’s regulations. Responsibilities include conducting thorough risk assessments, safety inspections, and incident investigations to uphold workplace safety. You will manage compliance with the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), Ministry of Labour, and other relevant local safety requirements. Delivering safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE awareness workshops to diverse groups will also be a critical part of this role. Additionally, maintaining accurate HSE documentation, reports, and records of corrective actions is essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety or a related discipline.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or an equivalent recognized certification is mandatory.
• Between 2 to 5 years of practical experience working in HSE roles.
• Thorough understanding of Bahrain’s health and safety laws and regulatory standards.
• Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to develop reports and conduct effective training sessions.
