Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team in Bahrain. This role offers a competitive salary range of 350 to 450 BD (negotiable), with accommodation provided by the company. The position requires working 8 hours per day across 26 days per month. Candidates must hold a valid driving license and possess NEBOSH certification to be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections and thorough risk assessments to identify workplace hazards and implement corrective measures promptly.
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable local and national occupational health and safety regulations.
- Develop, update, and enforce company safety policies, procedures, and manuals to maintain a safe working environment.
- Design and deliver effective safety training programs focussed on hazard awareness, emergency protocols, and proper equipment usage.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, near-misses, and employee complaints to determine root causes and implement preventative actions.
- Perform ongoing audits and inspections of work environments, machinery, and safety equipment to guarantee adherence to established safety standards.
- Organize and oversee emergency preparedness activities, including drills, first aid readiness, and firefighting equipment maintenance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and monthly HSE performance statistics.
Requirements
- Valid NEBOSH certification is mandatory.
- Possession of a valid driving license is essential.
- Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and implementing safety policies.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations relevant to Bahrain.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train and engage with employees at all levels.
- Ability to conduct incident investigations with attention to detail and follow-up on preventive actions.
