Job Overview

We are seeking qualified professionals for the role of Automatic Vehicle Locator (AVL) Specialist based in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This position focuses on real-time tracking and management of fleet vehicles using advanced GPS and communications technology, enhancing operational efficiency, safety, and security.

Key Responsibilities

The AVL Specialist will be responsible for the effective monitoring and analysis of mobile assets through various system functions, including:

• Displaying live vehicle locations on digital maps
• Tracking valuable assets such as construction equipment, trailers, and specialized vehicles
• Reviewing historical routes, stops, and speeds for performance analysis
• Optimizing routes to reduce fuel consumption and travel duration
• Dispatching the closest available units to improve response times
• Monitoring engine idling periods to support fuel efficiency efforts
• Logging mileage automatically for compliance, tax, and maintenance purposes
• Assisting law enforcement with stolen vehicle recovery through real-time data
• Setting geofences and alerting on boundary breaches
• Monitoring driver behavior for safe driving practices
• Generating unauthorized use alerts outside working hours
• Maintaining onboard GPS devices, antennas, and modems
• Producing daily reports on vehicle status, driving time, and maintenance needs
• Integrating AVL data with Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) or CRM systems
• Supporting public transit with real-time arrival updates and schedule monitoring
• Dispatching emergency units promptly using CAD integration
• Providing proof of service timings to support client billing in field service operations

Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants should possess strong knowledge of GPS tracking systems and fleet management technologies. Experience with CAD systems, data reporting, and vehicle telematics is highly valued. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
