Nebras Alkhaleej Transport Co., a leading logistics and transportation company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role demands a detail-oriented professional to manage daily accounting functions, financial reporting, and supplier payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining financial integrity by handling a variety of accounting tasks including:
- Accurate preparation and timely issuance of customer invoices.
- Monitoring accounts receivable and actively pursuing outstanding payments.
- Managing accounts payable by processing supplier invoices and preparing payment vouchers.
- Maintaining and updating Profit & Loss statements, as well as Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support management decisions.
- Recording daily accounting transactions and managing the general ledger.
- Performing bank reconciliations and overseeing cash flow management.
- Maintaining fixed asset records alongside depreciation schedules.
- Reviewing purchase orders, supplier statements, and transactions related to procurement.
- Supporting import accounting and related documentation processes.
- Ensuring adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
- Preparing required reports for management and auditors, and maintaining proper filing of all accounting documents.
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis activities.
- Collaborating closely with operations, procurement, and management teams on various financial matters.
- Monitoring and controlling expenses efficiently.
- Handling additional accounting duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Professional accounting certification is an advantage.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in logistics or transport sectors.
- Proficient in invoicing, purchasing, supplier processing, and financial reporting.
- Basic knowledge of import procedures and logistics-oriented accounting.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP formulas.
- Experience using accounting software or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving abilities, and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Good command of English communication skills.
