Job Overview
Rooya is seeking a dedicated Fleet Control Tower Officer to oversee and support the daily operations of its vehicle fleet in Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is ideal for candidates with at least two years of experience in fleet management, logistics coordination, dispatch, or control tower operations. The role involves hands-on monitoring of fleet activities, driver behavior, route performance, and safety alerts through advanced telematics and fleet management systems.
The selected professional will receive comprehensive training on Rooya’s proprietary fleet technologies, safety monitoring protocols, reporting tools, and client-specific procedures to ensure seamless operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
As a Fleet Control Tower Officer, you will play a central role in maintaining real-time visibility and control over fleet operations. Your core duties will include:
- Continuous tracking of vehicle locations, driver activities, and route progress using GPS and telematics platforms.
- Identifying and analyzing driver behavior issues such as speeding, harsh braking, sudden acceleration, sharp turns, and unauthorized route deviations.
- Initiating timely communication with drivers regarding any alerts or violations and documenting follow-up actions thoroughly.
- Managing active trips by monitoring vehicle status and addressing operational delays promptly.
- Escalating safety-related incidents including accidents, near misses, and critical alerts to the appropriate management teams.
- Generating detailed daily and weekly reports that summarize fleet activity, driver performance, safety alerts, and operational challenges.
- Assisting with monitoring vehicle utilization rates, fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and overall fleet efficiency metrics.
- Maintaining accurate records of incidents, violations, vehicle conditions, and corrective actions taken.
- Collaborating with internal teams and clients to ensure fleet operations run smoothly and comply with safety standards.
- Promoting a safety-first culture by adhering to monitoring protocols and escalation procedures.
- Keeping up-to-date with client safety rules, Saudi traffic regulations, and operational guidelines.
- Identifying repeated safety concerns, risky driving behaviors, and potential operational gaps to support continuous improvement efforts.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should have:
- At least two years of experience in fleet operations, transport coordination, dispatching, or control tower roles.
- Familiarity with GPS tracking, fleet management software, telematics, or related logistics platforms.
- Effective communication skills in both Arabic and English, essential for driver and management interaction.
- Basic proficiency in Excel and experience generating operational reports.
- An ability to monitor live fleet activities and respond promptly to emerging issues.
- Keen attention to detail with strong adherence to protocols and operational standards.
- Comfort working with dashboards, data analytics, and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of Saudi Arabian traffic laws and fleet safety best practices is preferred.
- Experience in logistics, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), distribution, delivery, or transportation sectors will be advantageous.
Preferred Skills
Additional qualifications that would strengthen your application include:
- Hands-on experience with dispatching, telematics, route management, or fleet tracking systems.
- Prior involvement in preparing operational safety or performance reports.
- Understanding of driver behavior monitoring techniques and safety awareness training.
- Possession of a valid Saudi driving license is a plus but not mandatory.
