Job Summary
The QA/QC Engineer ensures all HVAC duct manufacturing and MEP site installations meet project specifications, quality standards, and international codes. This role bridges factory production quality with on-site engineering compliance.

Key Job Responsibilities
Factory QA/QC (HVAC Duct Production)
• Inspect raw materials: Verify incoming galvanized iron (GI), stainless steel, and aluminum sheets.
• Monitor fabrication processes: Check duct dimensions, gauge thickness, longitudinal seams, and transverse joints.
• Enforce SMACNA standards: Ensure all duct fabrication aligns with DW144 or SMACNA and as per the fabrication drawings requirements.
• Supervise production & assembly quality: Inspect sealant applications, gasket placements, and insulation/lining adherence.
• Manage factory testing: Conduct routine pressure testing, light testing, and visual welds inspection.

Site QA/QC (MEP Projects)
• Review technical submittals: Approve Material Inspection Requests (MIR) and Method Statements.
• Conduct site inspections: Issue and close out Work Inspection Requests (WIR) for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical works.
• Manage non-conformance: Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and track corrective actions.
• Oversee testing & commissioning: Witness duct leakage testing, hydrostatic pipe testing, and electrical continuity tests.
• Coordinate handover documentation: Compile final As-Built drawings, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, and quality dossiers.

Qualifications and Skills
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years in MEP contracting and HVAC manufacturing environments.
• Certifications: ASNT Level II (RT/UT/PT/MT) or AWS/CSWIP welding certifications, Quality assurance course certificate, Auditor certificate preferred.
• Code Knowledge: Deep familiarity with SMACNA, ASHRAE, NFPA, ASTM, and local building codes.
• Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and quality management software.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and coordination.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tenders/projects simultaneously.

Renumeration: Salary 3k to 5k + FAT + Medical.
