We are looking for Lead Piping Engineer(Mechanical) with working experience in oil and gas industry and particularly in Saudi Aramco projects.

Job Summary:

The Lead Piping Engineer will be responsible for the overall planning, design, coordination, and execution of piping engineering activities for Saudi Aramco projects. This includes ensuring compliance with Saudi Aramco standards (SAES), project specifications, applicable codes, and best engineering practices. The role involves close coordination with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and vendors to deliver quality engineering deliverables within project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the piping engineering team for Aramco-related projects (greenfield and brownfield).

Review and implement Saudi Aramco standards (SAES, SAMSS, SAEP, GI) and ensure full compliance in all designs.

Prepare and/or review piping design deliverables: Piping Material Specifications (PMS), Valve Data Sheets, Line Lists, Isometrics, Piping GA drawings, Tie-in Packages, and MTOs.

Oversee piping layout design including equipment nozzle orientation, routing, and space management.

Interface with process, mechanical, civil/structural, and instrumentation disciplines to ensure coordinated design.

Participate in 3D model reviews (PDS, PDMS, SP3D, or similar) and HAZOPs.

Review stress analysis (using Caesar II or equivalent) for critical lines and review flexibility, support design, and loading conditions.

Provide technical support to procurement and construction teams, including review of vendor documents and handling site technical queries.

Lead internal and client design reviews; ensure timely resolution of comments.

Supervise and mentor junior engineers and designers.
Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and are submitted within project schedule and budget.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 12+ years of experience in piping design/engineering, with at least 5 years in a lead role.

Direct experience working on Saudi Aramco projects is mandatory.

Strong knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM, and other international codes and standards.

Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.

Preferred:

Familiar with Aramco project execution workflows, including detailed engineering and IFC package development.
Experience in pipeline/flowline projects will be advantage.
