Mechanical Estimator Responsibilities & Duties
*Analyze project plans and specifications to create detailed cost estimates.
*Collaborate with engineers and project managers to determine the scope of work.
*Review and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
*Utilize estimating software to prepare accurate cost estimates.
*Evaluate and select suitable materials and equipment for projects.
*Prepare and submit bid proposals for mechanical projects.
*Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
*Track and manage project budgets and expenditures.
*Communicate with suppliers and contractors to obtain pricing information.
*Assist in contract negotiations and finalizing project scope.
*Monitor and report on project progress and any deviations from the plan.
*Provide support during project implementation to ensure estimated costs are adhered to.

Mechanical Estimator Qualifications & Skills
*Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
*Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction industry.
*Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
*Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
*Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
*Strong negotiation skills.
*Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
*Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical estimating.
*Proficiency in MS Office Suite and estimation software.
*Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
*Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
*Excellent problem-solving skills.
*Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
