Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Business Development Manager to spearhead the growth of our fuel additives and wash oil segments in Saudi Arabia, with potential expansion across the IMEA region. This role plays a vital part in reinforcing our market leadership and driving significant business development in a sector valued at over $30 million annually.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will design and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate key accounts and expand our footprint in the Saudi fuel additives market. Collaborating closely with Regional Sales Managers, field teams, and technical committees, you will oversee sales activities, relationship management, and competitive intelligence to maximize opportunities. Additional duties include:

• Championing safety policies and promoting a culture of Goal Zero for workplace safety
• Building and nurturing strong partnerships with national and international oil & gas companies at various organizational levels
• Supporting the growth of sustainable and profitable business opportunities across short-, mid-, and long-term horizons
• Leading project initiatives independently within assigned geographic areas
• Advancing Nalco Water Downstream business strategies focused on customer satisfaction and growth
• Driving a competitive and effective tender strategy to position the company for success
• Maintaining sales opportunity tracking systems and delivering regular progress reports

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Petroleum Science (Associate degree considered an advantage)
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in fuel additives, specialty chemicals, and business development within the oil & gas industry
• Proven track record working with National Oil Companies in the region
• Strong understanding of political, social, and cultural dynamics within the Kingdom and the broader IMEA market
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and independent decision-making capability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Exceptional presentation, interpersonal, and networking capabilities

• Effective planning and organizational skills to manage business demands
• Strong communication skills to engage with all levels within customer organizations and internal teams
• Familiarity with MS Project and Outlook is an added advantage
• Time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks
