Job Overview

RAQ Contracting is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager to lead and manage all HSE activities across its projects in the United Arab Emirates. This role requires ensuring strict compliance with legal regulations, industry standards, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment throughout project lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive HSE programs, conducting regular inspections, and promoting a safety-first culture within the organization. Key duties include monitoring compliance, coordinating with various departments to enforce safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and leading incident investigations to mitigate workplace hazards effectively.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must have substantial experience in the HSE field, along with recognized educational credentials as outlined below:

• Option 1: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a managerial or lead HSE role combined with a Master’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) or an equivalent qualification.
• Option 2: At least 6 years of relevant HSE leadership experience paired with a Bachelor’s Degree in OSH or a NEBOSH Diploma (Level 6 or higher).
• Option 3: Seven or more years of experience as an HSE Manager or Lead, supported by a Post-Secondary OSH Qualification such as NVQ Level 4 or 5.

In addition, candidates should have completed the Abu Dhabi Occupational Health and Safety (ADOSH-SF) Practitioners Course and hold an ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification. Overall, a minimum of 15 years of active experience in the health and safety domain is essential.

Proficiency in conducting audits, managing safety programs, and handling emergency response planning is highly advantageous.
