Job Overview

We are urgently seeking a Food Safety Officer to join a reputable catering operation within the oil and gas sector in Kuwait. This role focuses on ensuring strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards across all catering units. The position is reserved for Arab nationals residing in Kuwait and offers a competitive salary of 450 KD with immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring compliance with QHSE policies, procedures, and legal regulations. You will conduct routine inspections and audits related to food safety, hygiene, environmental practices, and workplace health and safety. Implementing and maintaining standards such as HACCP, ISO 22000, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 will be integral to this position. Additionally, you will investigate incidents and non-conformities, prepare detailed reports including root cause analyses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, or a closely related field.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a QHSE role, with preference for those with catering or food service industry backgrounds.
• Certifications such as HACCP, ISO 22000, ISO 45001, NEBOSH, or OSHA are strongly preferred.
• Deep understanding of HACCP principles and ISO standards.
• Familiarity with local health, safety, and food regulatory authorities and compliance requirements.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
