Description
Experienced Assistant Accountant.
An Assistant Accountant supports the finance department by handling day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciling accounts, processing payments (AP/AR), and aiding in month-end closing, payroll, and financial reporting. They ensure accuracy in ledger entries and compliance with financial regulations. Typical requirements include proficiency in Excel and accounting software, plus strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Ledgers: Updating and maintaining accurate general ledgers, journals, and sales/purchase ledgers.
Reconciliations: Performing bank and account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Processing invoices, expense forms, and payments, as well as chasing debt.
Financial Reporting Support: Assisting with the preparation of month-end accounts, financial statements, and budgets.
Payroll & Compliance: Processing payroll and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and tax standards.
Administrative Tasks: Handling petty cash, filing financial records, and answering inquiries.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is often preferred.
Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Tally) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Analytical Skills: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for internal and external communication.
Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
11 to 12 Hours Duty.
Weekly Half day off.
Salary BHD200.000.
