An established restaurant brand is looking for a dynamic and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and uphold the authentic flavors that define our brand. We are seeking a culinary leader who balances traditional expertise with modern kitchen management.
Key Responsibilities
Culinary Leadership: Oversee the preparation and execution of high-quality Indian cuisine, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and spice profiles.
Team Management: Directly manage, mentor, and schedule our kitchen staff. You must be able to communicate effectively with an Indian team to maintain high morale and discipline.
Cost Control: Monitor food wastage and inventory to maintain a target COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) of 30–32%.
Menu Engineering: Periodically update and refine the menu to highlight high-margin “star” dishes.
Hygiene & Safety: Ensure the kitchen meets all Saudi food safety and local municipality regulations.
Requirements
Expertise: Mastery of North and South Indian culinary techniques, tandoor operations, and bulk meal preparation.
Communication: Fluency in Hindi/Urdu is essential to effectively handle and direct our staff.
Experience: Minimum 5+ years in a senior kitchen role, preferably within the GCC/Saudi market.
Strategic Mindset: An understanding of “Prime Costs” and how labor and inventory efficiency drive restaurant profitability.
