Mechanical Estimation Engineer analyzes project specifications, drawings, and scope to produce detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment in construction or manufacturing. They prepare technical and financial bids, negotiate with vendors, and ensure project budgets are competitive and accurate. Key skills include technical expertise, proficiency in software, and strong communication.
Key Responsibilities
Tender/Bid Preparation: Reviewing tender documents, specifications, and drawings to prepare technical and financial proposals for mechanical projects.
Quantity Take-Offs (QTO): Accurately calculating material quantities and labor hours required for mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, plumbing, etc.).
Cost Analysis: Sourcing and analyzing quotations from vendors and subcontractors to determine the most cost-effective solutions.
Risk Management: Identifying project risks and incorporating appropriate contingencies into estimates.
Coordination: Liaising with engineering, procurement, and site teams to ensure estimates align with site constraints and project scopes. Job location: Jubail
