We are a single-owner manual poultry slaughterhouse in the Al-Ahsa area (Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia), seeking an experienced General Manager to support the owner and fully run the establishment — with a major emphasis on sales, customer acquisition, distribution, building a customer database, and driving business growth to expand the company together.
This is a critical requirement: The candidate must have at least 10 years of proven hands-on experience in poultry slaughterhouses/processing plants in Saudi Arabia, with deep, practical knowledge of the Saudi poultry market (especially Eastern Province/Al-Ahsa dynamics, local regulations, customer preferences, competition, pricing, distribution channels, and halal/food safety standards). He must know exactly what he’s doing in this market.
Main Responsibilities:
• Drive sales & growth (major focus): Actively acquire new customers, build/maintain a strong customer database, expand distribution networks, negotiate deals, open new channels, and significantly increase sales volume/business size.
• Oversee daily manual operations (receiving live birds, slaughtering, cleaning, chilling, packaging, dispatch).
• Maintain high product quality, hygiene, food safety, and compliance with Saudi standards.
• Improve efficiency and production in manual setup.
• Manage the team (training, scheduling, performance).
• Handle basic accounting, inventory, and costs.
Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years proven management experience in poultry slaughterhouses or processing (manual/semi-manual preferred), all within Saudi Arabia.
• Extensive, current knowledge of the Saudi poultry market (Eastern Province preferred): customers, suppliers, regulations (SFDA, halal, municipal rules), market trends, pricing, and growth opportunities.
• Strong track record in sales, customer acquisition, distribution, database building, and business development in poultry/food sector.
• Practical ideas to optimize manual operations while prioritizing quality.
• Reliable, organized leader who performs under pressure.
• English required; Arabic a plus.
