This is a full-time, office-based position located in the Dammam Region for an Electrical Design Engineer. The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for preparing and developing electrical designs, drawings, calculations, and technical documents in accordance with project requirements, applicable codes, and client specifications.Employment services Saudi

Key responsibilities include producing detailed electrical layouts (power, lighting, low current/ELV, grounding, and lightning protection), load calculations, single-line diagrams, and material take-offs. The role also involves reviewing specifications, preparing technical submittals, supporting procurement through BOQs and material selections, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated design solutions.

Daily tasks include revising designs based on client and consultant feedback, providing technical support during construction, responding to RFIs, and ensuring that all electrical systems comply with safety regulations and approved standards. The Electrical Design Engineer will also participate in design coordination meetings, value engineering exercises, and quality reviews to ensure timely delivery of accurate and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Electrical Engineering with in-depth knowledge of electrical design systems and engineering principles

Proven experience in electrical design, including preparation of drawings, calculations, and technical documentation

Solid understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (IEC, SBC, NEC or equivalent)

Hands-on expertise in load calculations, single-line diagrams, power and lighting layouts, ELV systems, grounding, and lightning protection

Experience in reviewing specifications, preparing BOQs, material submittals, and technical reports

Ability to support construction teams through design clarifications, RFIs, and shop drawing reviews

Strong coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams (architectural, structural, mechanical) to ensure integrated design solutions

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to meet tight design schedules

Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux/Relux, ETAP, or similar tools

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with minimum 7-9 years experience.

Prior experience in construction, prefabricated/modular building projects is considered a strong advantage.

saudi council of engineer registration is a must
