Chemical Engineer (Kuwait)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Chemical Engineer to design, develop, and optimize chemical processes and equipment for oil & gas and industrial process plants. The role focuses on improving efficiency, ensuring safety, minimizing operational risks, and maintaining high product quality. The engineer will work closely with operations, maintenance, and project teams on new installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, evaluate, and optimize chemical processes for oil & gas and industrial plants

• Prepare mass & energy balances, PFDs, and P&IDs

• Select and evaluate process equipment (heat exchangers, pumps, reactors, separators, compressors, distillation systems)

• Conduct HAZOP/HAZID and risk assessments

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations

• Analyze plant performance and recommend improvements

• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues

• Support projects from engineering through commissioning and start- up

• Prepare technical reports and engineering documentation

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field

• Proven experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial process plants

• Strong knowledge of chemical process design and system optimization

• Good understanding of safety standards (OSHA, API, NFPA, ISO)

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and process diagrams

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

• Valid Kuwait driving license and own car preferred
