Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a leading engineering project based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of hands-on experience managing mechanical disciplines including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and utilities within large infrastructure or construction projects.
This role demands strong leadership skills and in-depth technical knowledge to oversee design, approval processes, site execution, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical engineering activities covering HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and utility systems.
- Review and approve design drawings, bills of quantities, technical specifications, and material submissions to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Ensure all engineering work complies with project requirements, international codes, and safety standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and IPC.
- Collaborate effectively with civil, electrical, and project management teams to maintain project alignment and deadlines.
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning phases to meet standards and schedule commitments.
- Monitor construction site progress and resolve technical challenges promptly.
- Engage in project planning, scheduling, and reporting activities to support overall management.
- Enforce strict adherence to quality control procedures and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in mechanical engineering for infrastructure or construction projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems, piping, firefighting networks, and utility infrastructure.
- Familiarity with international standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and IPC.
- Proven experience in site execution and multidisciplinary project coordination.
- Previous work experience within the GCC region is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid Iqama and availability to join immediately are mandatory.
- Must have all necessary educational and professional documentation ready.
